We found no evidence that Junipine or any other Oak Creek Canyon lodge has been forced to close — none of them posted closure notices when we checked.
But two things are true at once right now: much of the canyon's recreation is shut (West Fork, several creekside picnic sites, Slide Rock's swim area, some campgrounds), and the canyon sits below a fresh burn scar during monsoon season, when flash flooding is the active hazard.
So the honest advice is call the property before booking and ask directly about access and conditions. In a normal year this is one of the loveliest places to stay in the region — and in October, with the maples turning, it's arguably the best.
