If a guide is still selling you "Poco Diablo," its other Sedona facts are probably several years old too.
Camping, and why we're being careful about it
Oak Creek Canyon's Forest Service campgrounds — Manzanita, Pine Flat and Cave Spring — are the classic budget option, booked through Recreation.gov.
Manzanita is explicitly closed under the July 31 Oak Creek Temporary Area Closure through September 30 unless rescinded earlier. Pine Flat and Cave Spring are not named in that order, but campground availability changes independently. Check Recreation.gov or call the campground the same day before driving up. See what's closed.
