It's also the most remote. That's the point, and it's the trade-off: you're a drive from everything, and the resort is designed so you don't mind.
Mii amo, the Forbes Five-Star destination spa, is on the property. There's trail access from the grounds, though note that Boynton Canyon Trail itself is currently closed under the fire order.

Seclusion cuts both ways. You're a genuine drive from Uptown, from the SR 179 trails that are currently open, and from the free shuttle park-and-rides. If your trip is built around hiking the open trails, a base in the Village of Oak Creek is far more practical.
The two on-site restaurants are open to non-guests: Che Ah Chi for fine dining and Tii Gavo for casual — worth knowing even if you're staying elsewhere, because the setting is remarkable.
