Cress on Oak Creek

Creekside Wine Spectator award $$$$

The most romantic table in Sedona, and deliberately not a red rock view. Cress sits on the bank of Oak Creek at L'Auberge de Sedona, under a sycamore canopy with the water running past โ€” an entirely different proposition from the panorama restaurants.

New Arizonan cooking, a Wine Spectator Award of Excellence for 2026, and a well-regarded Sunday brunch.

If you want red rocks with dinner, go to Mariposa. If you want water, shade and quiet, this is the one.

Worth knowing

We're deliberately not badging this as a "red rock view" restaurant, because it isn't one and plenty of lists pretend otherwise. What it has is a creek, deep shade, and a canopy โ€” which in July is arguably the better asset.

It's on the same property as the Duck Pond Cliffside Pool & Bar, which does have an elevated red rock panorama and is the place for a daytime drink with a view.

Both are walkable from Uptown, so you can park once in a free lot.

Hours and prices change โ€” check the resort's own site.

Frequently asked questions

Does Cress on Oak Creek have red rock views?

Not really โ€” it's a creekside setting under a sycamore canopy. For a red rock panorama on the same property, the Duck Pond Cliffside Pool & Bar is the one.

Do I need to be a hotel guest?

No, Cress takes outside reservations, though it's part of L'Auberge de Sedona.
